We received this last night via our site:
Sep 26 2006 7:18 PM Subject: A&R Body: Dear Local Spirits,
My name is Megan, I'm an A&R scout for several labels and music supervisors throughout the country . I'm reaching out to you because the music on your myspace site is being considered by our A&R staff for a potential label and publishing deals.
We would like to speak to you further about your music as well as your career. So if you could please respond back with your contact info, I will have one of our VP's from our Los Angeles office contact you asap.
Thanks, and we look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely, Megan A&R WORLDWIDE MUSIC 323-348-8618
How about that?
We're working on a response. Feel free to throw us some ideas!

I agree with Lindsey, a little research would do you good.... although you guys might have already done that. Still, even if they aren't that 'big-time', if they've been successful at helping people move up a level in the music industry, that could be really, really cool.... dependant upon their terms and conditions/contracts, etc. and what (exactly) they would be helping you guys out with. Blah, blah, blah.... I'm sure Brandon has been thinking through/analyzing all of this thoroughly!! hahaha. Regardless of whether this particular company ends up working out or not, it's still really great that you guys have gained some attention of this kind. Hopefully it is a sign of more to come!! I think a big, huge CONGRATS is in order for all the hard work that you guys have been putting in on practicing and recording, and all the time that Brandon and Nate put into searching for the perfect percussionist (yay craig) for what they were looking for. You guys have never settled on anything that's just 'okay', and it's starting to pay off!!

Here's the update: Dear Megan, Thanks for your interest in our band, Local Spirits. We've been successful thus far with our own promotional work and our first CD will be released November 4th, 2006. However, we are interested in hearing what your company has to offer. Our short term goal, (6-8 months) is to put a tour together to market our popular product around the country. Our music is an experience and our live shows are a movement. We're growing at a really fast pace and it's an exciting time for us right now. If you feel there is something your company has to offer us, please provide more information on your services. You may contact us, preferably by email at LocalSpirits@hotmail.com or, alternatively, by telephone. Our numbers are: Nate Jones; Brandon Williams; and Craig Hagan. We regularly check our email and MySpace accounts. We look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Local Spirits www.localspirits.net myspace.com/localspirits

I love it, heh.
Unfortunately I can't elaborate as of yet, I think I'm under some kind of gag order.
I had to share our return email though, because I prefer keeping all of you guys informed on the really important stuff..
Plus, you guys have some great ideas!! We love hearin' 'em.
Cheers -B
