This is almost like talking to myself but I am at home, its sunday morning, about 10:30 am, I have the cd blasting, my mom and sister and daughter are grooving in the kitchen... I have to say that its a hit! I love it! You guys really have got some great songs, whats even better is I have been to enough shows I am learning all the words. This is really cool, I hope you guys go far =)
I will have to say as a side note to Craig, because I thought this was hilarious, when Round & Round came on, and the drums are playing at the begining of the song, my daughter came up to the cd player and pointing at it asked me if there was "a jungle in there". She is walking around carrying the CD case calling it Mommys Jungle Cd. haha. Cracked my butt up =)

Excellent! Thanks for the review Leslie.
Which tunes do you guys think are singles we should promote to radio stations and such?
Kelani rocks but it's 6 minutes long. I don't think most radio formats allow for that unless it's classic rock (light my fire... freebird). Maybe it's worthy though, of giving it a chance.

I think the best radio-friendly songs would be 9/10 and Free. Although they aren't my absolute favorite songs of all time, I do like them both a lot and I think they would both suit themselves well to a large audience, they both have very relatable subject matter, and they both have very catchy choruses. I personally don’t think Kelani would go over well on the radio… not just because of the length, but also because of the slow start and the fact that one of the main things that makes it so awesome is the depth of the lyrics, and people won’t get that on the radio. I just think that people listening to the radio are typically doing other things while they are listening…. Driving, doing stuff around the house, etc. SO to get someone to really pay attention to a song they have never heard before, it either has to play over and over again OR it has to be catchy enough and have a memorable enough chorus or subject matter that it is remembered by the person.

As for the CD review, I think it sounds great. I really like the laughing in the background (can't remember what song it is before though), and I love what you did with Best Day. Very awesome design by Jeremy, and I still can't believe that Dan did the recording on this... the sound quality is a lot better than I expected. I've already gotten 3 orders for the CD from people that I work with - which is really cool!

Groovy..
I didn't realize I missed your comments Jess.
Yeah I think those are all good points, about the different songs; I'm still not sure about Free because it's 4 minutes or so.
It seems like radio songs get shorter and shorter..
It's really hard to write a song that is going to be memorable (in a positive way!) to people after hearing it the first time, even major label artists don't pull that off regularly..
My $0.02 -Z
