I sent this to Life is Good Inc. earlier: Hello, This was the closest email address we could find for your company besides clogging your customer service or sales departments. We are an acoustic band out of Frankfort, KY. We were playing one of our tunes at a show recently, and someone told us about the Life is Good company. That happens to be the name of one of our songs as well, and we thought the company might be interested in hearing it. You can access a live version of our song, Life is Good, on our MySpace site at www.myspace.com/localspirits . We have recently put it on there, and it has already received several hundred plays via our player and our SNOCAP store. Please give us some feedback or contact us if you're interested in the song. Best regards, Brandon Williams Local Spirits www.localspirits.netwww.myspace.com/localspiritswww.myspace.com/localspiritsfans

My fear is they'll reply with a "cease and desist" order. LOL
Hope all are doing well out there in Spirit Land. I miss seeing everybody. Hopefully we'll get together at least a couple times in July.

In related news, by popular demand (you know who you are), Nate & Brandon's old demo is now up on the MySpace store.
I searched for Life is Good on google and found a country music CD by that title, several songs where the phrase is used repeatedly, and other things that incline me to believe we're safe. Besides that, there's no intent on our side to use them, it's just original composition.
I'm not too worried.
I thought it was worth throwing them a few keystrokes though, and I'll keep everyone updated on their reply.
Cheers -B

Oh and last message...
I've converted my former basstravels MySpace to Nate & Brandon Unplugged for good. I'll be starting a new MySpace soon and I'll keep everyone posted.
Cheers -B

Hi Brandon, My name is Nicole, I'm the store manager at Life is good. We would love to hear your music if you could send us a c.d. we could put the songs on itunes, which we use for our store playlist, as long as the music is happy and appropriate for all audiences. Thank you for thinking of us! Nicole Nicole Mills Life is good, Inc. 285 Newbury St. Boston, MA 02115 Ph *********** ********@lifeisgood.com Do what you like. Like what you do. ®

Very cool. That would be pretty neat to hear some LS playing at the Life is Good store.

What songs do you think we should put on the CD?
Think I should ask for clarification about what she means by put them on iTunes? I assume she just means they use that as their player, and have different tracks set up in set lists.
PS Still not a single person has gotten any music from the MySpace store. Blah..
