Hello everyone!
We are glad to announce this weekend heralds the mighty pre-release party for our CD! The CDs will be hot off the press and we can't wait to show all of our friends & fans Saturday night!! We will have free beer (16 gal keg sound big enough??) and CDs will be available, for the first time, for $10.
We do have a request... anyone who is interested in manning the CD table, please give us a heads up. We would really appreciate some help with that, as we'll be busy doing our work as vibe technicians.
The party is at Fran's house which is on the creek right next to Switzer Bridge. If you need directions, please give one of us a call, message (here or MySpace), email (LocalSpirits@Hotmail.com), or use a compass due "Groove" and it'll bring ya on in, heh.
Let's use this thread to coordinate any food needs, etc.
Anyway, we hope you're as excited as we are! Thanks again Fran, our biggest fan with a silent R and our hostess with the mostess, can't wait to see the cupcake costume!
See you soon! Best, Local Spirits

Won't quite be the same without you Nate, but we'll do what we can. I hear Gideon has volunteered to step in for you. (Sorry I missed the late show last night) As for food.... I initially thought that people could bring chili ingredients and we would take the Stone Soup approach to making it, however, on second thought, I figured we should have it ready or nearly so by the start of the party. So, I will make Texas Chili, White Chili and a small amount of Vegetarian Chili and people can bring a little something to go with it (chips, cheese, sour cream, cornbread, dessert, etc) I will also accept a few coins in the can to offset food costs if you like. Don't feel obligated to bring food. I'm sure there will be plenty.
So folks, get your costumes ready (You too B.) Break out your boogie shoes, and get ready for a Local Spirited Halloween. Don't forget to bring your $10.00 to pick up your first edition CD.

OK, numbskulls, I just heard most disturbing news. It appears the rumor is out that Local Spirits is not playing tomorrow night. Sadly it is my own blood kin that was spreading such nonsense. (No names.....Sara) Nate, please tell them you were joking. I think I've straightened it out, but you never know. I have just been to General Rental to obtain the huge chili pot, and to Pic-Pac, our favorite hometown meat market, to pick up some specially cut beef for the Texas chili. To paraphrase one of my favorite samplers from when I was little" There's leaks in my roof, but there's soup in the pot, and I'm happy to share with you, such as I've got." There's also some groovin' in my garage, and we're all in for a Spirited good time. Party starts around 7:00. Be there. I do have most of the leaks fixed.....

Thanks Becca, I think we're squared away. The guys came out tonight and cleaned the stage and dance area (aka the Garage). It's gonna be great! I'm prepping some chili ingredients now. The keg is here and on ice. Oops. Maybe I shouldn't have advertised that. We aren't tapping it until 5:00 at the earliest. ;-/ Band Space, Food and Dancing room. That's all we need. See you tomorrow.
Oh! everyone who checks in. Please bring a chair. I have a dozenor so, but that's all. We'll all be on our feet anyway, but just in case.

IT'S PARTY DAY!!!! The CD's are in and they are wonderful. The sun is now shining and it's going to be a great evening. Water is covering about 50% of my yard. The fire pit is submerged, but hey, we can build a fire anywhere. Closer to the garage is better anyway. It's exciting. See y'all tonight.
